Our Club

Square dance is a folk dance of the United States and is danced by many people around the world. The originally European dances of the immigrants and settlers got their modern form in America in the 40s and 50s.

Square dance is a figure dance, which is danced after announcement by a "caller". There are always 4 couples dancing together in a square. The dancers do not know the individual figure combinations in advance, so the dance is considered fun and challenging. The ladies wear dresses or skirts with petticoats, the men western look.

If you like socializing, country and western music, but also pop, rock'n roll, jazz, gospels, and enjoy movement, square dancing is for you.

In a beginner's course (Class) the basic figures of Square Dance are taught on approx. 30 evenings.

We dance every Monday from 20 o'clock.

The address of our dancing place can be found here.
